Jane Burden works from her studio in West Dorset. She is a long-standing member of Dorset Makers, Wessex Contemporary Artists and Dorset VIsual Arts.

Exhibiting regularly and a winner of various Opens, she has a permanent piece In Dorset County Hospital as well as collaborative pieces in several county schools.

Previous shows include: Contemporary Textiles Gallery, London; Kettles Yard Gallery, Cambridge; Wysing Arts, Cambs; The Study Gallery, Poole; Sherborne House; Durleston Park & Walford Mill, Dorset; The Sherborne and Dorset County Museum.

Jane Burden started her career by setting up the Julian Workshop in Sherborne in 1979. On moving to Cambridge in 1985, she was a founder member of Cambridge Open Studios and later completed a PGCE at Cambridge University. Back in Dorset in 1997 she set up a private art school and specialised in delivering The National Gallery’s Take One Picture in Dorset and London.
